Kenneth “Bucket” Davis was given the Spirit of America award by Sen. Joyce Maker (R-Calais) last week in Augusta. The award, established in 1990, honors local individuals, organizations and projects for commendable community service. Davis has served as an East Machias selectman for more than 20 years.
