Machias Selectboard asks for crackdown on speeding

Concerns about downtown speeding dominated the first part of the Machias Selectboard meeting held on Wednesday, Nov. 15. Selectboard Chairman Warren Gay lives downtown and said that he has recently received numerous complaints about speeding. “Court street is awful and it’s getting worse,” said Gay. “Last night two pickups went by and I doubt they were 10 feet apart, and wasn’t they flying?”
