Machias has a new breakfast and lunch spot on its menu. The Coffee + Crisp Cafe is already serving diners on the grounds of West Branch Farm in Kennebec and will hold its grand opening next Saturday, Oct. 15. 

Farm Project Manager Josh Meroff says the Machias cafe is based on the coffee shops his father, Chris Meroff, started in Texas with the same name, with one key difference.
