Community invited to connect with UMaine Machias at July 12 public meeting

The public is invited to connect with UMaine Machias at the annual meeting of the University of Maine at Machias Board of Visitors (BOV), to be held July 12 at Bad Little Falls Park. The event will be hosted by University of Maine and UMaine Machias President Joan Ferrini-Mundy and Machias Town Manager Bill Kitchen. 

"The Town of Machias is committed to a proactive role in fostering a revitalized partnership with UMM”, shared Town Manager Bill Kitchen. “Symbiotic engagement and growth is critical to our collective cultural identity and economic vitality. We welcome everyone to a newly renovated Bad Little Falls Park.”

The public is invited to attend the meeting, which will be held from 5–6:30 p.m., for a community conversation, “Machias as a College Community.” Light refreshments will be served. For more information or to request a reasonable accommodation, call 207.255.1210.
