Two years of fundraising came to a happy conclusion last week when four young cousins wielded a pair of giant scissors, cutting the ribbon on a brand new playground for Jonesboro Elementary School.

Aynslee Emery, Vanna Smith, Evelyn Leahy, and Claire Leahy, known as Four Girls with a Goal, together raised $46,239 over the course of two years, with generous support from the community, school faculty, and their families, Evelyn and Claire’s mother, Devon Appleby, remembers how their fundraising efforts began with some drawings.
