The East Machias Fire Department led the response to a home fire that started in East Machias on Friday, March 9. Fire departments from Machias, Machiasport and Marshfield rendered mutual aid and stayed on to fight the fire until the early hours of Saturday morning. The home, located on Route 1, was fully engulfed in flames. No humans were injured in the fire. Photo by Bill Kitchen
