Jonesport responds to county’s push for more deputies

Following two meetings hosted by the county commissioners last month on the increase in crime in Washington County because of the drug trade, county manager Betsy Fitzgerald wrote all 46 towns in the county with information about what the commissioners wanted to do in response, and to ask towns for their reaction. Jonesport’s letter was discussed at the selectmen’s February 7 meeting.
